My Story
Rafael grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico playing for Club Oro's soccer school, reaching their state reserves while studying chemical engineering. Prioritizing education, he left professional soccer to pursue degrees in the USA, but continued playing in recreational leagues while raising a family. Coaching became a part of his life as his children began playing, and now he coaches with Sonic where his grandsons play.

Coaching Journey
Rafael’s coaching journey is deeply rooted in his personal experience as a player and my lifelong love for the game. He believes in fostering both athletic and personal growth, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and a love for the sport. His experience coaching his children's teams has provided him with a strong foundation in youth development. Now at Sonic, He is excited to share his knowledge and passion with the next generation of players.
